Role Reversal

Hi all,

I don’t have too much to write about today. This last week was pretty eventful, but not too much I can share. We ended up helping one missionary with some personal stresses, so that was kinda neat.

On Tuesday, we went to the temple. Our temple day always comes when it is needed, and it was great to feel the peace there and just relax that day. We didn’t have too much to do the rest of the day. since it was our P-Day for the week.

Us with some of our zone members at the temple.

On Wednesday, we helped that missionary I mentioned earlier set his house in order (i.e. his stress communicated into his environment in which he was living). We went to their apartment to clean it up and help him clear his head so he can get back to work. It was like a weird role reversal from when I was in Crystal Springs 1st. I was stressed and not doing well, but the zone leaders helped pick me up and dust me off. Maybe this elder will be in my position in nine months or so. It could happen!

We are still kinda struggling to teach people consistently again. It’s been hard to stay motivated to find when it’s like this, but I’m doing alright despite the setbacks! We’re doing our best. Jay has been more consistent, but De’Andre has kinda disappeared as fast as he showed up. We’re doing our best with what we got, though.

This last week, we went to contact students at Los Medanos College. Elder K got interrupted mid-sentence while talking to a girl there because she wanted to comment on how white his teeth are. It was really funny. He had to sit down and re-evaluate life afterwards. It was pretty funny.

Aside from all that, I don’t have too much to write about. We’re going bowling today with our district. I’ve been looking forward to that. It’ll be fun to step away from things to relax today.

Hope you all have a great week! Love you all!
